Hi Everyone,
My name is Mellisa Robinson and I will be your facilitator for this workshop on “Integrating Technology in Mathematics”. I am a graduate teacher of Mathematics and Information Technology and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology at Walden University.
My place of employment is the Raymond Gardiner High School, North Caicos, Turks and Caicos Islands where I teach Information Technology. Prior to this job, I was employed at Denbigh High School in Clarendon, Jamaica. I also have a daughter, Mikashae, who wishes to become a Pharmacist and is currently in 6th form at Glenmuir High School in Jamaica pursuing the sciences. All my life, I have been in the classroom and cannot see myself outside the field of education.
I am rather excited about the use of technology in classroom and it is therefore a pleasure to pass on this knowledge to you. This workshop promises to be a rewarding experience and I am sure you will be capitalizing on the knowledge and skills gained. As educators, let us adapt to the technological changes in order to make the learning environment one of interest to our students.
